From January 24 to January 26, 2025, Architects of Diversity (AOD) hosted the second BinaxBangkit Opening Weekend, bringing together five emerging Malaysian youth organisations: Pocket of Pink, Ajar Demokrasi, Sabah Youth Movement, Himpunan Advokasi Rakyat Malaysia, and INCLU+ION (Inclusion).
The Opening Weekend was an intensive deep dive into the mechanics of running an effective organisation. Participants delved into core curriculum modules covering incorporation and governance, annual planning and milestone setting, risk management, pipeline development and management, as well as budget management. Beyond structured learning, the weekend provided networking, collaboration, and idea-sharing opportunities with like-minded individuals, building a strong support network for each organisation.
BinaxBangkit is more than an incubator; it’s a launchpad for volunteer-run youth initiatives to grow and be better prepared in building a more inclusive and equitable Malaysia. Through mentorship, funding, network, and leadership development, BinaxBangkit equips young changemakers with the skills to reimagine the future, learn from the past, and take action in the present.
With the second cohort now on board, BinaxBangkit continues to nurture a new wave of grassroots leaders determined to reshape Malaysia’s social landscape.
